How it unfolded
02-07-2026: MRNA hit $68 and, after a small rejection, blasted the supply using it as a support to shoot more. The price is now very extended, although XLV is breaking out showcasing a lot of strength in the healthcare sector. It's important now to pay close attention and start, in my opinion, to move aggressively the trailing stop. Yes, we still have the final TPs above and yes, the trend is still bullish, but consider how much it has soared from the $22/25 area: more or less a +250%. For this reason, I wouldn't be greedy and I would start to scale out.
19.08.2026: MRNA exploded. During the entire July/August we discussed extensively about the price action on MRNA tracking all levels and the last "bias" was a push into the $50/53 area for a re-load before seeing continuation to the upside. We had a level, the EQ of the last swing formed where to take partial profits/monitoring the price action but today, the price opened with a huge breakaway gap, almost +60% and a +100% (more or less) from the "re-load" zone. This fantastic opening is due to the incredible news of MRNA cancer vaccine succeeding in phase 3. And now? What's next? Impossible to determine an outcome right now, we need more price action to develop but one thing is crystal clear: all TP levels have been hit. The main idea on MRNA has been shared back in November 2025 and since then, the price has produced more than a +300%. I can't tell you what to do, this is extremely personal (risk appetite/goals etc) but if you're in since the beginning, in my opinion is a crime to not take at least 80/85% letting the rest to run. The completion of the weekly gap (full fill) stands around $115, so there might be space to see that price hitting (observing following price action/closure above or not) but overall I consider this trade completed. I will monitor the price action of MRNA during the following days, but once again, don't be greedy.
